Conditions
Placing an Order
1. Cocoa Bakery & Bistro Catering requires a minimum of 6 days notice for
all catering and cake orders, excluding wedding cakes, which require a
minimum of one month's notice. Visit Wedding Cakes Q&A for more

All orders must be placed in person or by phone during Catering Office
hours only. At this time, Cocoa Bakery & Bistro Catering does not accept
orders, cancellations, etc. via fax, e-mail or voicemail message.

There will be an additional deposit on cake pillars and plates, which will be
refunded upon their return.
2. Cocoa Bakery & Bistro makes every attempt to clearly review all catering
orders with its clients at the time of order placement. Each order is reviewed
verbally, and printed confirmations are made available via fax or in person.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your order as reflected in the order
confirmation. If there are any errors in the order confirmation, you must
immediately notify The Catering Manager at the store in which the order
was placed so that corrective changes can be made to your order.
3. Cocoa Bakery & Bistro Catering personnel will work closely with you in
connection with your order, and will make recommendations to you
regarding your menu, the quantities of food to be purchased and other
considerations. However, final decisions regarding the menu, the quantity
of food ordered, etc. will be at your sole discretion. Cocoa Bakery & Bistro
is not responsible for the final content of your order.
Changes to Orders
4. Any changes to orders must be made by contacting the Cocoa Bakery &
Bistro Catering Department, either in person or via phone during Catering
Office hours, at the store where the original order was placed prior to the 6
days before the date of delivery/pickup of the order. All Cocoa Bakery &
Bistro Catering orders are binding on you in all respects as of the 6-day
period prior to the scheduled delivery date/pickup window. Cocoa Bakery &
Bistro Catering will attempt to accommodate additions or other changes to
your order within the 6-day period prior to the scheduled delivery/pickup
window. However, we cannot guarantee such changes will occur. Additional
fees may apply if changes are made within 6days prior of delivery/pickup.
Cancellations
5. A full refund will be given for orders cancelled at least 6 days before the
date and time of pickup/delivery. Cocoa Bakery & Bistro does not offer full
refunds for catering orders that are cancelled less than 6 days prior to the
scheduled delivery/pickup time period. There is a non-refundable 50%
charge for any orders cancelled within this time period.
Delivery/ Pickup
6. Delivery is deemed to have been made with the arrival of the goods to
the final location designated in the order confirmation, at which time the risk
of loss or damage passes to you.
7. You may pick up your Cocoa Bakery & Bistro Catering orders only at the
Cocoa Bakery & Café store location specifically designated in your order
confirmation. In addition, orders may be picked up only during the pickup
window designated in the order confirmation. You may be charged certain
handling, delivery and/or storage costs for failure to pick up your orders
during the prescribed time period.
8. If you experience any delivery/pickup issues, please contact the Catering
Manager. Any issues with delivery will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
by the Catering Manager of the Cocoa Bakery & Bistro location where the
order was originally placed.
Substitutions/ Partial Deliveries
9. We strive to fill every catering order in a timely fashion and with attention
to detail. However, there may be shortages of supply, including shortages
due to the procurement of goods or resulting from the production process
or other circumstances that require a change in your order. In such event,
we reserve the right to make substitutions to your order or to cancel all or
any portion of an order that cannot be filled. Cocoa Bakery & Bistro
Catering will advise you of any such shortages and/or item substitutions.
We may make partial deliveries as are reasonably foreseeable from, and
within the time limits envisaged by, your order.
Requests for Refunds/ Store Credit
10. Your satisfaction is important to us. If for any reason you are not happy
with your order, you must advise the Catering Manager immediately and no
more than 12 hours from the time of delivery or pickup of your order. You
must provide to the Catering Manager the specific nature of your complaint
request, a copy of your catering receipt, a copy of the delivery or pickup
form, and any other information reasonably necessary for Cocoa Bakery &
Bistro to evaluate your complaint request. Cocoa Bakery & Bistro Catering
will determine in its sole discretion whether to issue a partial refund, store
credit or substitution of product.
11. In-store credit will be provided for missing order items that can be
verified by Cocoa Bakery & Bistro’s kitchen, catering and delivery
personnel, assuming that such items cannot be replaced or provided to the
customer in a timely manner.
Force Majeure Events
12. Cocoa Bakery & Bistro will not be liable for defaults, delays, or changes
to your order due to acts of God, acts or demands of any government or
government agency, acts of terrorism, strikes, fire, floods, accidents or
other unforeseeable cause beyond our control and not due to our fault or
gross negligence.
