Whoopie Pies
Whoopie pies, also called the moon pie, the Bob, the BFO (Big Fat Oreo), the gob (it’s a Pennsylvania thing), the huckleback, the creamy turtle and the black moon, were either created by the Amish or somewhere in New England. No one knows for certain. We’re not historians, we’re a bakery, so let’s move on, shall we?
Here at Cocoa, we call them Whoopie Pies, and our rendition is two cakes sandwiching a cream cheese filling. We make our Whoopie Pies with chocolate and a pumpkin cake and have several varieties of fillings.
We make our Whoopie Pies in two sizes, large and an all too easily popped-into-the-mouth mini Whoopie Pie.
