FAQs
Do you make vegan or gluten-free cakes?
We do make Chocolate Almond Gluten-Free cakes. We don’t make vegan cakes only Chocolate or Banana Eggless cakes.
Do you make goods that are sugar-free? diabetic friendly? keto-friendly?
No, our baked goods are made with tons of sugar! We use it in every recipe to give our goods extra sweetness.
Are any of your baked goods nut free?
We do have some products that are nut-free. We try to keep everything as separate as possible, but everything is made in the same place. So, if you have a severe allergy to nuts, we don't recommend eating here!
Do you make any bread?
Unfortunately, we do not make bread loaves, but we do have 3 flavors of croissants. (plain, almond, and ham & swiss)
Do you allow pets? Are you dog-friendly?
Even though they are super cute, we don't allow pets in the store. Unfortunately, the FDA frowns upon dogs in restaurants. There are also concerns for people with allergies and asthma.
When's the latest I can place an order?
We'd prefer you place your orders as soon as you know you'd need them. This is because we only have a limited amount of cakes we can make every week. The latest we recommend to place an order is a week before. Please call us to check availability.
Can you deliver my orders to my house?
We do not do deliveries for custom orders, only for wedding cakes in the Jersey City area with a third-party delivery service. We do deliver our baked goods that are sold in the store through GrubHub.
Where do I pick up my order?
Once you place an order, depending on the time you'd prefer the pickup, you'd have the option of choosing between our Central Ave location or our Grand St. location.
How do I go about setting up a wedding cake testing?
You can set up a wedding cake testing by emailing our cake consultant at info@cocoabakerycafe.com. We recommend picking out your top 3 flavors and frosting to try. Our prices for testings cakes range from $10-20 per slice depending on the flavors.
Are you going to be charging my card when reserving my order?
We ask for your card when placing your order to reserve it. If you ask to charge the card over the phone, there'd be a 4% charge on top of your total. We'd prefer and recommend that you pay in person.
Do you make ice cream cakes?
We do not make ice cream cakes.
Do you make decorated cookies and cupcakes?
We do make decorated cookies and cupcakes, however, they would need to be ordered in advance. The only customization we provide on the spot is for cakes (inscription only).
